Muting or blocking a relative
Mute a relative to stop seeing their posts, or block them to stop their messages. It is private and reversible.
Mute or block: the difference
- Mute: you no longer see this relative's posts, comments or notices. They do not know, and nothing changes for them.
- Block: the same, and they also cannot message you, mention you or ask to follow you; you cannot message them either.
How?
From a post's menu (...) choose Mute name, or press the person icon in a chat, or open My profile, then Muted and blocked and pick the relative and the type. To undo, press Undo beside their name.
Nobody leaves the family tree this way, and family admins still receive reports. Plan and safety notices always reach you. This list is part of your downloaded data.
