Get a copy of everything that is yours in one file you can open in any browser.
You can download a copy of your data at any time, free of charge.
- Open your profile, then Privacy.
- Press Download my data, and enter your password if asked.
- A ZIP file downloads. Unzip it and open index.html in any browser.
What is in it?
- index.html: a readable page with sections and counts: your profile, your closest relatives (names only), your posts, comments, photos, the messages you sent, your legacy messages, calendar, shares, results, settings and sign-ins.
- The data folder: the same sections as JSON files, to use in other programs.
- The files folder: the pictures and files you uploaded, and the payment receipts you sent.
What is never in it
Your password, security codes and connected-account details, the messages you received from others, other members' private data, and what you already deleted.
Three downloads an hour are allowed. If you want to delete your account afterwards, see Deleting my account and data.
