Family marketplace: sell, give away, ask, offer a service
A private board inside your family tree: for sale, free, wanted and services, with optional pictures and no payment through the app.
In the Family marketplace relatives post things for sale or free, ask for something (wanted) or offer a service. Only your family tree sees the posts.
Post something
- Press Post something and choose the kind: for sale, free, wanted or service.
- Write the title, category, city and details.
- The price is optional: no price, a fixed price in a currency (your country's currency is suggested), or negotiable. A free post has no price. The price is only information: nothing is paid through the app.
- Add up to 4 pictures: you can preview, crop or remove each one before publishing. The first is the main picture.
Also announce it on the family wall is ticked by default (untick it if you prefer): a normal post with the first picture, the title, the price and a link to the marketplace appears, so relatives see it and can comment, and it is removed with your post.
Pictures are shrunk automatically while keeping their quality, to save space, and only your family tree can see them in the marketplace (there are no public links); the first one also shows in the wall announcement. People aged 18 and over can post.
Contact and the deal
Press Message to start a chat. Deals are between relatives, and the app gives no protection if one goes wrong, so use good judgement.
How long a post lasts, and safety
A post stays 30 days; you can renew it, mark it done (sold, given or found), close it or delete it (its pictures go with it). Save what you like with the star, and report anything inappropriate. Family admins can remove posts, which is recorded in Family activity.
