Take the family tree and what was shared with everyone in one file. Always free, even after the plan ends.
The family creator and the admins can download a copy of the family at any time, always free, even when the plan has ended or the family is locked.
- Open the Plan page.
- Press Download the family, and enter your password if asked.
- A ZIP file downloads. Unzip it and open index.html in any browser.
What is in it?
- The tree folder: the tree as a CSV (opens in Excel) and as a GEDCOM file that other family-tree programs can import: names, gender, birth and death dates, parents and spouses.
- The data folder: the family calendar, the phone directory, the posts and the photos, as CSV and JSON.
- The files folder: the pictures of the posts and the gallery photos.
What is not in it
Anything limited to close family or kept private, chats, legacy messages, personal results, members' numbers and emails, and passwords. Only posts and photos shared with the whole tree or public are included.
