The Big Five test

50 statements place you on five traits: extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability and openness.

The Big Five test

This test describes your personality as five continuous traits, not separate types: extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability and openness. Its statements come from the public IPIP scientific item pool.

How to answer

Open the test's tab ①. Each statement has five choices from "very inaccurate" to "very accurate". Answer as you usually are, not as you wish to be: there is no right or wrong answer.

Reading the result

  • ② Each trait has an average from 1 to 5 and a level (lower, middle or higher), with a drawing of the five traits.
  • Neither end is better; the traits where practice pays off most are highlighted.
  • What needs development: statements you answered at a level worth practising, each with a tip, and you add the ones you want to your plan.
The score is a display scale, not a ranking against other people, and the result is not a diagnosis.
